Keeping going at Morgan Stanley Report, published recently, there is a very attractive information at key theme #6, "Massive Data Growth Driving Carrier / Equipment Transitions".
As described at the report Web Browsing is highly bandwidth-intensive, because looking at airtime, it accounts for 32% of airtime consumption, however it means 69% of bandwidth, which is huge, specially considering crowded areas in peak hours.
As an alternative, T-Mobile UK and O2 applied some network optimization, cutting web page sizes by around 50% when compared to fixed broadband.
